Relying on a long build-up of tension is in theory a sensible thing to do, but there's a fine line between slow pacing and repetitive padding, and PA2 tip-toes over it. The premise of the demon-haunted house and of the growing realization of the family is not used to its full potential. After the fifth-sixth scene of nocturnal footage of the dog barking at the invisible supernatural stalker, I grew bored. Guess what? We came to see the monster. I appreciate you believe in atmosphere and don't want to cheesily show it right away, but still... if all I wanted was to look at a dog howling all night long, I could have watched my neighbours'.
